#MomCrush Monday Series: Meet Belinda Ndu, The Mastermind Behind Bella Miracle Haircare

1. You are an entrepreneur, mogul, financial advisor, philanthropist AND a mother of 6. What are some tips you can share with other moms about how to juggle it all AND do it successfully?

My most successful strategy on juggling it all is having a schedule for everything. I schedule in daily time to spend with my children. Because there’s so many of them, of course it’s collective. We need mornings for circle time and evenings for family worship. It’s also very important to spend individual time, which is something I strive to do weekly. Not bringing work home, cooking a good home-cooked meal at least three times a week, having a regular movie night each Friday, night game night on Wednesdays are all things I do to make sure that I am prioritizing the most important people in my life, my children.

2. I am so intrigued about your daughter’s hair care line, Bella Miracle Hair, which aids those who experience hair loss from a serious illness such as cancer or need guidance on growing healthy hair. We understand you’re the genius behind this line! Wow! We’d love to understand how all this came about and what it means to you?

This hair care line means a lot to me. My daughter was diagnosed with leukemia, at the age of two, we were devastated. However, we knew that this was not the end of her story, only the beginning. I believe that whenever we are faced with insurmountable odds that they are there to drive purpose in our life. We now understand what that purpose is in the life of our daughter Miracle. Her hair care line is not just for those that experience hair loss due to medical issues but for those that experience hair loss for any reason at all. It helps to grow the hair back to long, thick, and healthy. I looked at my daughter after she lost all of her hair and I told her that she would never have to fight this battle alone. So as a result I also shaved off my hair in support of her journey.

We then began our hair growth journey to grow our hair back and for us, as you know, black women with no hair without it being our choice was definitely not a space we wanted to be in, if we hadn’t chosen it. So I was immediately inspired as a natural mommy, to come up with a solution. So I researched day after day, and at night after night while in the hospital with her for almost 10 months battling this terrible disease and finally came up with a formula that we believe to be groundbreaking. Ten percent of the proceeds of this business goes back to help support families and charities that help in a fight against cancer. Our daughter, we are now very happy to say, is now in complete remission and very happy soon-to-be-four-year old.

3. You have a digital course, The Manifest, which is a detailed guide to creating and keeping the life you desire. What are a few tips you can share with our readers who are overwhelmed with motherhood about manifesting this into their lives?

The Manifest is some of my best work. For the last 12 years, I have dedicated the end of the year, beginning with the end of Thanksgiving and all the way into the new year, I would fast, pray to focus on my goals, create my vision, build a new vision board, reflect and get focused for the new year. As a result, each year my business, my life, my finances, my wealth and my peace have all increased. I have accomplished more than I ever thought possible. So recently I decided to bring others along in a more structured way, so I put together the manifest.

I was told I would never have children, however, I’ve given birth to five beautiful children, and I am a mother to so many others. I was told I would always be broke because of generational poverty that stricken to me on both sides of my bloodline. I am happy to say I am the first multimillionaire in my family that is completely financially free and I am actively creating a legacy for my children. The list goes on and on when it comes to the amount of things I’ve been able to manifest in the amount of people, ministries and charities I’ve been able to support.

So if you are a single mother and you’re finding yourself struggling and feeling overwhelmed, take time out to listen to yourself and focus on prayer and meditation. Write down what it is you want  and describe the space in which you see yourself in great detail. Once you have done that, then examine your life and make sure that you are in alignment to receive the things that you want in all five areas of your life. These are some of the things that we talk about during the manifest course.

4. We understand that you make it a big priority to give to missionaries and mission fields locally and internationally, helping in Nigeria, Haiti, and with various church organizations and other foundations. Why is giving back so important to you and your personal mission?

The truth is that it is really simple. I understand the law. I understand that in order to be in alignment with receiving you also have to be a giver, in addition to that, you must be a hard worker as well as a person of balance. I made a deal with the guide and I said to him if you blessed me with money, I will give 10% back to you and 5% of my income to families, to ministries and into charities. My gifts have exceeded that, but who’s counting because He keeps blessing.

5. What is your favorite song lyric? Why?

India Irie — “Wings of Forgiveness”

Being a generous person I’ve come across people who were just takers. And this song embodies the true essence of hole I need to be in order to not let others change who God has created me to be to the world. I’ve had to forgive countless times and derive lessons for me to experience.

I now understand from a place of wisdom and experience how to choose wisely when it comes to vetting properly and categorizing individuals that are called to different seasons of my life. I understand that a person who may be in the front row of my life today may not be privileged to be there for a lifetime. So this song helps me to remember that as I choose to leave people behind sometimes I also need to leave those experiences with them behind me as well if they do not serve a greater purpose in my life.
