#MomCrush Monday Series: Meet Genesis Calderon, Influencer, & Entrepreneur
1.) You’re an influencer, a mother, soon-to-be wife, and entrepreneur. How do you manage to balance this in the way that you do?
Honestly, I think the trick to juggling all my responsibilities is just making sure I prioritize and manage my time well. It’s definitely a challenge, but I try to stay organized and keep a schedule that lets me focus on everything that’s important to me. Plus, I always make sure to take care of myself and practice self-care so that I don’t get burnt out. Basically, it’s all about finding a balance that works for me and my family.
2.) You recently launched your brand, Chosen Alias. Why was it so important to you to make shopping for busy moms easy?
As a busy mom myself, I totally get the struggle of finding time to shop and juggling everything else. So, I wanted to create a brand that makes it super easy for other moms to find trendy and comfy clothes without having to waste hours searching. It’s all about making their lives a little bit easier and giving them one less thing to worry about.
3.) Can you share 3 tips with our readers about how to successfully manage life as an entrepreneur AND a mom?
As a fellow mom entrepreneur, I’ve definitely got some tips to share on how to manage both roles without going crazy. First things first, prioritize and set realistic expectations for yourself. Don’t try to do everything at once and make a plan. And don’t forget to take care of yourself and maintain a work-life balance. It’s easy to get overwhelmed, so take it easy on yourself. Lastly, surround yourself with a support system, whether it’s family or friends. Remember, it takes a village to juggle motherhood and entrepreneurship!
4.) “Chosen is a family brand.” Can you elaborate on this and why it is so deep rooted within your brand?
Chosen was founded with the needs of moms in mind, and one of the main things we need is more time. Our brand appeals to children and moms alike, and we make getting dressed easy by providing ready-to-go two piece sets that look and feel great. So, whether you’re in a rush or just want to simplify your morning routine, Chosen has got you covered.
5.) What is your favorite song lyric? Why?
I would say my favorite song lyric is “If the stars were made to worship so will I, If the mountains bow in reverence so will I, If the oceans roar your greatness so will I” by Hillsong Worship. It reminds me to never give up and trust in God, especially during times when I feel low. I believe there is always a plan and this song helps me to stay positive and hopeful.
